Barnet Robert Swartburg was an architect born in 07/27/1895 or 1897 and died 12/07/1975. Some accounts say he was born in Bucharest, Romania while others claim New York City.  As his obituary and most accounts state, he started working ay the age of 9 as an office boy in the office of an architect. He studied at Columbia University, at the American Academy in Rome and then at the Ecolde des Beaux Arts in Paris.
