It's unclear to me what purpose this wikicity serves, which isn't already served by Wikipedia. E.g. an article here on Le Corbusier is unlikely to receive as much attention and editing as the Wikipedia article on Le Corbusier. --Singkong2005 07:40, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)

I would agree, except that this wiki allows for opinions to be shared. This is entirely different than the prupose of Wikipedia, which is meant to have an objective point of view. The inclusion of criticality (and maybe a sense of humour) is what makes this wikicity different. --Sform 14:50, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Okay. That's certainly worthwhile. I'd suggest that this aspect should be emphasised more. Perhaps articles here could refer to the Wikipedia articles, (which would be the place for factual, encyclopedic info) leaving Wikitecture to focus on ideas, criticism etc (unpublished research? personal experience?)
The same issues apply for other wikicities (and some wikibooks) sites. I'm not sure how it will work in practice, though. --Singkong2005 03:06, 15 February 2006 (UTC) (main userpage is here (Wikipedia)
